Exmoor Silversmith
I have been making jewellery most of my adult life. I am fascinated with the concept of the talisman, and how jewellery has been symbolic throughout time.
I am a strong advocate of recycle and re-use, focusing on using scrap sterling silver, melting it down to either cast it into my designs or forge into organic shapes. I love to take broken things that link you to a person or place, and reuse them to make something personal and with deeper meaning. My work is all hand made from recycled silver and mixed metals.
I run day courses for small groups, from my workshop on the edge of Exmoor. During a day course you can choose to work with traditional jewellery making techniques, recycling scrap, forged silver, cuttlebone casting or making pieces using fused metal. I will encourage you to bring your old broken silver, things never used, or use silver I have collected to make a personal piece to take away.
